Rick Owens’s mens autumn-winter collection featured pieces in golden and silver shades, unique outerwear, and tailoring. The color palette was definitely a new direction for Owens as was the tailoring. The tailoring this season Owens himself described as a ‘mature option’, and it is clear that he is serious about expanded on his tailored look from previous seasons.

The tailored jackets and long coats incorporated cut out lapels and varied shoulder construction.

Rick Owens’ footwear this season used materials such as snake skin and crocodile leather; also using leather in colors such as black, dark gray, and shades of golden brown.

Outerwear consisted mostly of long coats with a few jackets. Owens incorporated materials like wool, fur, leather, and velvet.

The knits  were structured and architectural. As Owens experimented with different shapes, such as this ‘T’ shaped knit.

Overall Owens’s experiment with new colors, silhouettes, and materials and not relying on that that has made him successful, but keeps creating new garments is why he continues to be a leading innovator.
